Step-by-step guide to Number Pool configuration
Step 1: Navigate to the Number Pools section
- Navigate to “Settings” and select “Number Pools”.

- The page will display all previously configured pools, allowing you to review, edit, or remove any existing setups.

Step 2: Create a New Pool
- Click on the option to create a new pool.

- A wizard will open. Enter a unique name for the pool to distinguish it from others, and optionally include a description.

Step 3: Allocate Reserved numbers
Reserved numbers refer to unassigned numbers that can be added to your pool. You have two options to add these numbers:
- Upload a CSV file for bulk selection.

- Apply filters to narrow down and select numbers based on specific criteria, such as number type or other conditions.

- You can apply filters to all number types or to a specific number type, such as “Direct routing”, “Calling plan” or “Operator connect”.

- Once filters have been set up, select “Apply filters”. Matching numbers will appear on the screen.

- Make your selection by choosing numbers individually or selecting all displayed options.

Step 4: Configure Dynamic numbers
Dynamic numbers can also be added to the pool using filters, similar to the reserved numbers process. Unlike reserved numbers, dynamic numbers are not exclusively allocated; they remain available based on predefined filter criteria.
For example, you can create pools for Italian numbers or Milan area codes. Dynamic numbers across these pools may overlap based on filter settings, ensuring flexibility in resource allocation.

Step 5: Assign the pool to operators
At this stage, you can assign the pool to specific operators or groups for efficient management and organization.

Recommendation: Assign number pools to groups of operators to simplify number allocation, especially when future operators are added.
Step 6: Submit your configuration
- In the “Summary” section, double-check all settings, including the reserved and dynamic numbers, operator assignments, and groups.

- Once satisfied, click “Submit” to finalize the configuration.
Success!
Congratulations! You have successfully created and configured your number pool.
