CoreView Control for SharePoint: overview

  • Last update on June 23rd, 2026

CoreView Control for SharePoint provides visibility into SharePoint Online sites, files, folders, permissions, sharing exposure, storage usage, and version growth. It combines dashboards, reports, and out-of-the-box Playbook policies to support review of sharing risk, unique permissions, permission sprawl, storage growth, and reclaimable storage.

What CoreView Control for SharePoint includes

  • Progressive SharePoint item-level import
  • Dashboards for sharing and storage analysis
  • Reports for site drilldown and item investigation
  • Out-of-the-box Playbook policies for sharing, permissions, and storage governance

Import

CoreView Control for SharePoint imports item-level SharePoint metadata progressively so that higher-priority sites are processed first. After the first full import, Delta import keeps supported changes up to date through SharePoint Online audit logs.

Dashboards

Dashboards provide tenant-level visibility into sharing configuration, external exposure, storage usage, projected growth, and reclaimable storage.

Reports

Reports support site-level drilldown, item-level review, and investigation of unique permissions and access.

Playbook policies

Out-of-the-box Playbook policies help identify risky sharing configurations, inactive or oversized content, high version counts, sites in recycle bin, and permission sprawl.
