Error while using an Endpoint manager action

  • Last update on November 24th, 2023

Problem

Management actions

When opening an Endpoint Manager action, I encounter an error message saying that I need to grant permission.

Workflows

When I execute a Workflow that includes an Endpoint Manager action, it consistently fails.

Explanation

The root cause of these two problems is the same: Endpoint Manager permissions are not granted to the CoreView app on the Microsoft side.

As a result, CoreView is unable to perform actions using the Endpoint Manager module.

This specific set of permissions is required because Endpoint Manager actions do not utilize PowerShell cmdlets; instead, they rely on Graph APIs which necessitate a different set of permissions.

Solution

To grant consent, open a private browser session while using an Office 365 account with Global Admin permissions. For instructions on how to grant consent, please refer to this article.
