  • Last update on October 22nd, 2024

To successfully connect your Microsoft 365 tenant to CoreView, certain prerequisites must be met. CoreView utilizes Entra ID applications and the Microsoft 365 Management API to facilitate the necessary consents for reading from and writing to your Microsoft tenant. Here’s what you need to know about the required subscriptions:

Required subscription categories

One of the following subscriptions is required to fully integrate CoreView with your Microsoft 365 tenant:

1. Microsoft 365 subscription

CoreView supports various Microsoft 365 plans, including:

  • E1
  • E3
  • E5
  • F1
  • F3

These subscriptions provide foundational access to the Microsoft 365 suite and the capabilities required for integration with CoreView.

2. Entra ID Premium P1 or P2

Both Entra ID Premium tiers offer essential features for application management and API access:

  • Entra ID Premium P1: includes advanced identity management and security features.
  • Entra ID Premium P2: adds comprehensive identity protection and governance capabilities.

These premium subscriptions enable you to register your application in Microsoft Entra ID and obtain the necessary permissions to interact with the Microsoft 365 Management APIs.

Why these subscriptions?

By having either a Microsoft 365 subscription or an Entra ID Premium plan, you are granted the ability to register applications within Microsoft Entra ID. This registration process is crucial as it allows you to configure the required permissions to access the Microsoft 365 Management APIs, which are essential for CoreView's operations.
