October 23 enhancements

COREVIEW APP

Introducing Multi-tenant governance: the new “Multi-tenant dashboard” offers unified Playbook reporting across multiple tenants, highlighting areas of concern and enabling quick access to selected tenants for efficient management.

Note: this feature isn't available for GOV customers yet, but it's coming soon!

Entra ID and Applications rebranding: all “Entra ID” labels are now “Entra” throughout the CoreView app. The “Applications” label in reports and action categories is now “Entra apps”.

GOVERNANCE CENTER

New “Clone policy” functionality: policies can now be cloned for efficient replication. CoreView policies clone only their definitions, while custom policies can include remediations. Full customization is available in subsequent steps.

Introducing exception recertification: the new “Expired exceptions” tab in policy exception reports lets you manage and act on expired exceptions, ensuring they remain current and aligned with organizational compliance needs.

Policy updates: the following changes have been applied:

• Users without MFA
  • New “RecipientTypeDetails” column filtered by “UserMailbox” or “User”.
• Inactive last 60 days but not blocked users
  • New “RecipientTypeDetails” column filtered by “UserMailbox” or “User”.
• Inactive guests in the last 180 days
  • New “Not in last 180 days” option in the “Last Entra login” column.
• Admin without MFA
  • New “Block credential” column filtered by “False”.
• Mailboxes with external forwarding
  • New “RecipientTypeDetails” column filtered by “UserMailbox” or “SharedMailbox”.
• Disabled users with assigned license
  • New “RecipientTypeDetails” column filtered by “UserMailbox” or “User”.

MANAGEMENT ACTIONS

New Entra app actions: introducing new wizard actions to manage individual items:

• Manage service principal owners: assign, change, and remove owners to ensure compliance and delegation.
• Disable service principal: quickly disable harmful service principals, preventing access to your tenant.
• Remove service principal application permissions: easily remove any unwanted permission from your service principals. 
• Manage service principal delegated permissions: select, add, and remove service principal permissions, reducing errors and saving time.

REPORTS

Visio and Project usage information: users’ latest usage data for Visio and Project has been imported into CoreView and is now available in the Optimization Center, user reports, and user cards.
Note: data from the last 2–3 days is excluded due to a delay on Microsoft's end.
This enhancement was inspired by a CoreVoice request.

Service principal report renamed: the “Service principal delegated permissions” report is now simply the “Delegated permissions” report.

WORKFLOWS

Enhanced execution inputs: “Dropdown” execution inputs are now dynamic, with Company, City, Office, and Department properties populating with relevant tenant data to improve workflow accuracy and efficiency.
This enhancement was inspired by a CoreVoice request.

October 9 enhancements

COREVIEW APP

PowerShell upgrade: the Teams PowerShell Module has been upgraded to version 6.5.0.

MANAGEMENT ACTIONS

Read-only SharePoint site checkbox: you can now mark SharePoint sites as read-only directly in CoreView when using the “Archive Teams Group” management action.

New Entra ID app actions: introducing the “Remove app registration secret” and “Restore service principal” management actions. These provide the same functionalities as workflow actions but for individual items, making the process faster and more convenient.

REPORTS

New “Service principal” report insights: easily focus on risky report attributes and prioritize actions with our new insights. Select tabs to filter and review items like unused reports, unverified publications, and apps without owners.

Introducing Entra ID app report hyperlinks: “Service principals” and “App registrations” reports now include hyperlinks for owners and application permission counts, allowing you to conveniently navigate between Entra app reports.

Reorganized Entra ID app menu: “Service principals” and “App registrations” reports are now separated in the menu, helping you quickly find what you’re looking for.

Enhanced “Administrative roles” report: discover this revamped report under “Security,” now featuring information on temporary role assignments, including start and end dates, and more.

Audit reports relocation: the following reports have been moved under “Security” to make critical security reports visible to more customers:

• All sign-in reports
• Risky users/detections
• Impossible travel to atypical locations

SETTINGS

Download Hybrid Connector from Settings: users who have purchased the Hybrid Connector can now independently download the software under “On-premises” via a convenient “Download agent” button.

WORKFLOWS

Enhanced Management role capabilities: operators with a Management role can now delete their scheduled workflow executions, providing greater control and flexibility.

This enhancement was inspired by a CoreVoice idea.

Improved “Update service principal delegated permission” action: the input dropdowns now offer a selection of resources tailored to the selected service principal. This streamlines workflow setup and reduces errors. 

Note: this upgrade introduces a breaking change for existing workflows using this action.
