As part of our ongoing improvements, we have successfully transitioned Number Pools to a new configuration aimed at enhancing usability and organization. This article outlines the changes that have taken place and how we continue to support our users in this new structure.
What's changed?
New location for Number Pools
With the completion of the migration, Number Pools are no longer found under the previous V-Tenant structure. They now have a dedicated section accessible at Settings > Number Pool. This new organization enhances overall usability and navigability for users.

Unified Number Pool configuration
Users can now create Number Pools that include both reserved and dynamic numbers. This change simplifies the creation process by eliminating the need for choosing between dynamic and reserved numbers beforehand, making it more user-friendly.

Migration outcomes
The migration has ensured that all relevant functionalities and access settings are preserved:

Dynamic Number Pools
- What has been preserved: existing filters applied to the Number Pool are retained.
- Current functionality: the same numbers that were visible and operable prior to the migration remain accessible in their new location.
Reserved Number Pools
- What has been preserved: both the filters and previously selected numbers have been successfully migrated based on original configurations.
- Current functionality: these numbers remain visible and operable as they were before the migration process.
Filters and number types
- What has been preserved: existing filters along with the selected number types for each filter have been migrated.
- Current functionality: filters have been simplified into a single, configurable filter that encompasses all number types. Previous filters have been categorized under reserved or dynamic numbers in accordance with the original organization-level settings.

Operator and group assignments
Operators who were assigned to a V-Tenant with a configured Number Pool retain their existing access and operational capabilities. For new operators added after the migration, please note the following:
- Single operator assignments: when adding a new operator, you must also ensure they are assigned to the Number Pool separately to maintain their visibility and access.

- Group assignments: users added or removed from a group will automatically inherit the same Number Pool assignments. This ensures that individual operators within a group retain access without the need for additional assignments.
Naming convention for migration
To facilitate easy identification, migrated Number Pools will include the suffix _MigratedFromVirtualTenant
. The complete name retains the original name of the V-Tenant from which it was migrated (e.g., “VTenant1_MigratedFromVirtualTenant”).
Summary
The migration of Number Pools has been designed to enhance usability without disrupting existing workflows. The functionality of both dynamic and reserved numbers has been preserved while providing greater flexibility in configuring pools. Access settings for operators and groups have been carefully structured to prevent any disruptions.
