My profile

As you embark on your journey with CoreView, one of the first and most crucial steps is to familiarize yourself with and set up your profile. Your profile is the gateway to managing your account, understanding your permissions, and accessing the various features of CoreView. This guide will walk you through accessing your “My Profile” section, understanding the different tabs within it, and setting up your login preferences. By following these steps, you'll be well-equipped to navigate the CoreView platform effectively and securely. Let's get started!

How to access “My profile” in CoreView

You can access the “My profile” section by opening the menu from the top right profile icon.

The “My profile” section includes two tabs:

  • Personal Information
  • Permissions

Personal information tab

From this tab, you can modify your language and regional settings. You can also check what are the roles assigned to your account. Inherited group roles are roles that are assigned to you through a group membership.

Permissions tab

Here, you can check which permissions you have been granted by a tenant administrator. Permissions applied to your user determine the sections of CoreView you are allowed to see and the actions you can execute. You can click on a permission set to visualize its settings in read-only mode.

The settings of any V-tenant, Permission group, License Pool can be changed only by CoreView Tenant administrator.

Use Organization account option is chosen

If the “Use organization account” option is chosen, it means that the single sign-on is applied during login, and, to log into CoreView portal, you must use the first login option (work/school account), and then insert your Office 365 credentials.

The advantage of this choice is that the management of the password and all security features, such as multi-factor authentication (MFA) and password complexity, are handled by “Microsoft Entra ID”  (previously Azure AD). In this way, you don't have to worry about these security issues, as they are delegated to “Microsoft Entra ID”  (previously Azure).

This also means that, being security provided by Microsoft, we cannot assist if you need to change the password.

Use organization account not chosen

If you choose not to check the “Use organization account” option, you are creating the operator directly within the CoreView system. In this case, it is CoreView itself that takes care of the operator's authentication, verifying and confirming the operator's identity, and you won't have access to Microsoft's security features.

In this case, email and password are sent to operators by email and, being security provided by CoreView, the “Forgot Password” option can be used.
