Applying configurations to multiple downstream tenants

  • Last update on August 21st, 2024

It is possible to deploy a configuration simultaneously to multiple downstream tenants from their associated baseline. To do this, it is necessary to set up the reconcile view so that only the baseline is set.

Step 1: Set the baseline

From the textbox labeled “Select a tenant or enter a repository URL”, select the baseline.

Select a baseline in the dropdown menu.

Now, click “Apply” at the bottom of the left bar to confirm your choice.

Select “Apply”

Step 2: Open the advanced options

Open the menu with the “advanced options” for the configuration you wish to deploy. You will have two options:

Apply to

The screen will show you the downstream tenants associated with the baseline. Select the tenants where you want to deploy the configuration, by choosing the specific downstream tenants for deployment.

Select “Apply to.”
Select the tenants where you want to deploy the configuration: check the tenant display name to select it.

Please note that if the selected configurations already exist in the target downstream tenant(s) and differences exist, this operation will overwrite the current configurations.

Exclude from

The screen will show you the downstream tenants associated with the baseline. Select the tenants for the configuration deployment, by choosing the downstream tenants NOT to deploy to. So, in this case, the configurations will be deployed to all the downstream tenants that have not been selected.

Select “Exclude from.”
Select the tenants for the configuration deployment, by choosing the downstream tenants not to deploy to. Check the display name to select it.

Please note that if the selected configurations already exist in the target downstream tenant(s) and differences exist, this operation will overwrite the current configurations.
