Simeon Cloud Release Notes July 2024

We've updated the installation settings for better clarity: users can now easily choose between using Simeon's service principal, which is pre-selected, or a custom service principal. This enhancement ensures a transparent and informed setup process.

In our effort to streamline the user experience, following the integration of CoreView and Simeon Cloud, we introduced a new primary color across all elements including the top bar, buttons, modals, icons, and controls. This cohesive update brings a unified look to both products.

We've enhanced the sync page by introducing an optional “Tenant Domain” column to help easily identify the domain name associated with tenant display names.

To eliminate confusion about the scope of settings accessible under the “My Profile” icon, we've renamed “Settings” to “Organization Settings.” This change provides a clear distinction, indicating these settings apply to the entire organization rather than individual user preferences.

We‘ve added support for Syncing new configurations across Defender, the M365 Admin Center, Exchange, and Teams. The following configurations are now in Simeon Cloud:

• Defender > Configuration Management > Device Configuration
  Defender Device Configuration achieves properly configured devices by ensuring devices meet or exceed Defender for Endpoint security best practices. Simeon supports backing up, creating, updating, and removing Device Configuration settings.
   
• M365 Admin Center > Settings > Org Settings > Adoption Score
  Adoption Score allows you to measure and manage adoption of M365 productivity resources and services across your organization. Simeon supports backing up and updating Adoption Score settings.
   
• M365 Admin Center > Settings > Org Settings > Calendar
  Organization wide calendar sharing settings that allow users to share calendars with people outside of their organization. Simeon supports backing up and updating organization wide calendar settings.
   
• M365 Admin Center > Settings > Org Settings > Microsoft Forms
  Organization wide Microsoft Forms settings allow users to manage external sharing and data protection settings for Microsoft Forms. Simeon supports backing up and updating organization-wide Microsoft Forms settings.
   
• Office 365 > Exchange > Retention Policy and Office 365 > Exchange > Retention Policy Tag
  Exchange Online retention policies and retention tags allow users to manage email lifecycle settings. Simeon supports backing up, creating, updating, and deleting retention policies and tags.
   
• Office 365 > Teams > Apps > Setup Policies
  Teams app setup policies allow user to customize how apps are made available to a user within the Teams app. Simeon supports backing up, creating, updating, and removing Teams app setup policies.
   
• Office 365 > Teams > Voice > Call Hold Policies
  Teams call hold policies allow users to control the audio file that's played when a Teams user puts a caller on hold. Simeon supports backing up, creating, updating, and removing Teams call hold policies.
