Some of the steps described below depend on the package and add-ons you have purchased. For more information, refer to the “CoreView ONE: overview” guide.
To add a single new operator to the CoreView app, follow these steps:
Step 1: Create new operator
Navigate to “Settings > Operators” in the side panel menu.

At the top-right of the screen, select “+ Create new”, then click “New operator”.

This will open the “Create new operator” management wizard.

Step 2: Personal info
In the “User principal name” field, select the Microsoft Entra operator account you wish to add. Begin typing the operator's User Principal Name to locate it in the dropdown list.

Organization account required
As of February 29, 2024, all new operators must be created using an organization account linked to Microsoft Entra. Operators are required to use an existing Microsoft Entra account and associate it with CoreView.
Password management and security features, including multi-factor authentication (MFA) and password complexity policies, are managed by Microsoft Entra in accordance with organization account requirements. These security responsibilities are administered directly through Microsoft Entra and do not require separate configuration in CoreView.
Read more to learn how to migrate CoreView accounts to organization accounts.
When you select a user, the following fields will be autofilled:
User information
- First name
- Last name
- Email: this is where your operator will receive app notifications, including custom action notifications if they are a Tenant Admin. You cannot save changes if the email address is missing or invalid.
- Organization: this field cannot be edited.
Language, time, and region
- Language: select the display language for your operator's app. Note that this preference may be overridden by the organization’s predefined language for column titles in exported reports and the workflow approval button.
- Regional settings: choosing a language configures the date-picker and relevant areas to use the date format of that language. For example, selecting English (United Kingdom) will display dates in the DD/MM/YYYY format.
- Time zone: if no time zone is selected, times will be shown in UTC+0. Refer to the “Operator time zone" guide for configuration steps.
Operator customization settings
Delegated operators can always modify all the fields above in “My profile”, except for “User principal name” and “Organization.”
Step 3: Roles
Assign the appropriate roles to your operator by selecting the relevant checkboxes. Refer to the “Operator and user roles” guide for more information about available roles. These roles are assigned at the tenant level.

Role permissions
Assigning a role automatically grants the permissions associated with that role. To delegate specific tasks, assign individual permissions (see Step 4). Role assignment provides the default set of permissions for that role, but you can further customize access by adjusting individual permissions as needed.
Step 4: Permissions (optional)
Assign any additional individual permissions to your operator, if available.

Step 5: Virtual Tenants (optional)
Assign any desired Virtual Tenants to your operator, if available.
Note: This step is not required when creating Tenant Admins, as they have access to all Virtual Tenants.

Step 6: License Pools (optional)
Assigned any desired License Pools to your operator, if available.

Step 7: Number Pools (optional)
Assign any desired Number Pools to your operator, if available.
Step 8: Review and submit
Review your configurations and click “Submit” to create the new operator.
