License Pools are not available in the Essentials and Professional solutions, but they can be purchased as an add-on.
To merge two License Pools, begin by deleting the License Pool that needs to be merged into another.
In the example below, the License Pool named “GB” will be merged with the License Pool named “United Kingdom”.
- Click the bin icon to delete the “GB” License Pool.

- Edit the License Pool that is the target of the merge ("United Kingdom").

- Edit the “Attributes to include” section.

- Select the attribute of the License Pool that you previously deleted ("GB") and click “Submit”.

Important notes
- Merged License Pools consist of the parent License Pool as well as any member Pools. In the example above, the parent License Pool is “United Kingdom” and the member Pool is “GB”.
- License Pools, whether they have been merged or not, continue to rely on the filter criteria that were originally chosen to configure your License Pools.
- For reporting and license management purposes, the parent License Pool is the governing pool. Member pools are invisible. Therefore, all data associated with the member pools will be reflected as part of the parent pool.
- If you rely on License Pools in place of V-Tenants, merging License Pools may impact the scope of access for any given operator.
How to unmerge License Pools
License Pools that include multiple License Pool discriminators can be unmerged by removing one or more discriminators from the pool.
- Edit the License Pool
- Edit the “Attributes to include” section.

- Deselect the discriminators to exclude from the pool and select “Submit”.

After submitting, select “Add license pool” under “Manage pool” to view eligible discriminators not currently assigned to any pool. Those discriminators can then be selected to create one or more new License Pools (including any that were removed in the previous step).
