To create an Access Review, begin by selecting a template. Templates are available for:
- Teams group members
- Distribution group members
- Security group members
- Microsoft 365 group members
- Guest users
- SharePoint site members
- OneDrive owners
- Mailbox permissions
Step 1: locate the Access Review page
- Open the CoreView app
- Navigate to “Reviews > Access Review”

If you have no existing Access Reviews, you will be prompted to create your first one (see Step 2).

After creating Access Reviews, this section lists all reviews. For each review, you can see status, start and end dates, responsible reviewers, and a button to download logs once the review is completed.

Step 2: create a new review from template
- Click “Create review from template”.

- Choose a template corresponding to the type of access or resource to review (e.g., Teams group, Mailbox permissions). Templates are pre-configured for the relevant resource type and user group.

Step 3: Customize review details
- Enter a descriptive title and summary to define the review scope (e.g., “Marketing Teams Membership Review Q2 2025”).

- Assign tags to organize reviews by department, project, or other classification required for reporting or compliance.
- Set the review’s priority (“High”, “Medium”, or “Low”) according to your organization’s risk classification or review policy; for example, assign high priority to reviews involving external guest users if mandated by organizational procedures. The assigned priority will be visible on the main dashboard for both reviewers and tenant admins—enabling reviewers to better prioritize their tasks and assisting tenant admins with the monitoring and management of review activities.
