These features are exclusively accessible to Tenant Admins.
Currently, the Configuration Manager is not available in GOV environments.
“Tenant settings in the last 7 days” widget
Located in the Overview dashboard, this widget provides a summary of the configuration changes made to your tenant settings over the past week.
I haven't got the Configuration Manager
If you do not have the Configuration Manager (formerly known as Simeon Cloud), the data will not be available. To learn more and consider purchasing, click “Discover more”.
This will direct you to the CoreView website, where you can submit a form. A member of our staff will then get in touch with you.
I've got the Configuration Manager but I see no data
After purchasing the Configuration Manager, it must be configured to view data in the widget. Click “Configure” to start this process.
Generation of the connection string
After clicking “Configure”, a message will appear, informing you that the CoreView connection string is generated only once. If you need to generate it again, you must contact our support team. To proceed with the generation of the code, you must confirm that you have read and agree to the message.
Please be aware that the widget updates weekly. Therefore, data will not be available for the first 7 days after setup.
When data is available, clicking on the widget will direct you to a detailed report highlighting the changes over time.
“Tenant settings changes summary” report
This report provides Tenant Admins with a comprehensive overview of the changes made to tenant settings in the last 7 days.
An interactive chart at the top displays daily changes. Selecting any number of detected changes refreshes the table below with detailed information, including:
- Full name: the name of the configuration that was modified. Clicking on this value displays all changed parameters.
- Description: this column offers more details about the configuration's role within your tenant.
- Sync date time: shows the timestamp of when the configuration changes were synchronized.
-
Change source: indicates the trigger for the sync action, with two possible sources:
- Backup: changes detected from the tenant and compared with pre-existing configuration settings.
- Deploy: changes applied directly through the Configuration Manager.
A new item is added to the report for each sync, possibly resulting in multiple entries for the same configuration, each representing a separate sync.
Accessing detailed configuration changes
Clicking on a configuration name opens a panel with details specific to that configuration change and sync date. This panel displays only the parameters that were changed and imported during that particular sync. It includes sortable fields such as Property, Sync date time, Change type, Old value, and New value, highlighting the most recent old value from the last sync.
To manage these changes directly, click “Manage in Configuration Manager”. You will be redirected to the “Reconcile” section of the application. This facilitates a smooth transition to reconciliation tasks, improving workflow efficiency and compliance management.
