Management actions: overview

What is a management action?

A management action is a predefined CoreView action that allows you to manage objects (e.g. users, groups, devices) in a variety of ways (e.g. create, edit, delete) relevant to the specific workload.

For example, management actions enable you to change a user's password, create a shared mailbox, manage a distribution group, and much more. Please consult our Management actions library for a comprehensive list of available management actions.

CoreView management actions create and modify properties directly on MS 365.

Management actions are manually executed by operators with a “Management” role. However, they can be strung together into workflows to allow for more complex levels of automation.

Roles and permissions

Only tenant admins can create and manage management actions.

Only users with a “Managementrole can execute management actions.

How to perform a management action

To perform a management action, you should follow these steps:

  1. Configuration: choose the desired management action and complete the management action wizard to set it up.
  2. Execution: management actions can be initiated from various sections within the CoreView app. This will automatically redirect you to the management action wizard.
  3. Monitoring: after executing a management action, you can monitor its progress within different sections of the CoreView app.
