With Reconcile, it is possible to restore a tenant backup to a different tenant.
This is a destructive operation that can result in permanent deletion of data, including user accounts, from your tenant(s). Please carefully review the pending changes on the Sync page before approving.
To restore configurations from a previous backup of another tenant—such as deploying a configuration that existed in your tenant a month ago to a different tenant today—follow the steps outlined below.
Step 1: select the tenant
In Reconcile, from the drop-down menu labelled “Select a tenant you'd like to make changes to” select the baseline/downstream tenant.

Step 2: select the tenant you wish to retrieve another version
From the fields that appear underneath “Compare with”,
- Select “Tenant” in the “Option” dropdown.
- In the field “Select a tenant or enter a repository URL” (beneath “Option”), choose the same baseline/downstream tenant from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: select the tenant's version
Now, select the field labelled “Select a tenant version ref or commit id”. Select the backup of the configurations you want to restore (e.g. deploy-20230504.7).
You can either do it in two ways:
- By selecting the tenant version from the list
- By clicking on the calendar icon located next to the tenant's version field
Using the list
To select the tenant version from the list:
- Expand the list by clicking the dropdown arrow
- Select the desired version from the list

Using the calendar
To select the tenant version using the calendar:
- Locate the calendar icon next to the tenant's version field and click on it.

- Use the calendar to go to the specific date you're interested in. If sync versions are available on a particular day, you will see a dash below the date.
- Select the desired Sync version; if a list appears on the right, under “Select a Sync version”, choose the version you need from this list.

If multiple versions are listed, it indicates that several syncs were executed on that day. These versions are sequentially numbered from the oldest to the most recent sync, for example, version ".1" would be the oldest, while version “.3” would be the most recent.

- Now, click “Apply” to confirm your choice.

The reconciliation will now begin to load.

Step 3: review and restore changes
Review any differences between the current version of your tenant's configurations (master) and previous versions of configurations from the other tenant (e.g. deploy-20230504.7), and restore any changes through the normal Reconcile process. Remember that you may be asked to proceed with the Sync process.
